Manoeuvre Drive Parameter
The vessel record now accepts a Manoeuvre Drive rating (0–10). This parameter is stored in the ship registry, validated against the permissible drive classification range, and presented on both the vessel summary display and the configuration form.
Referee Hex Navigation Protocol
Referee operators may now initiate a direct link to a star system record by holding the Control key whilst selecting a hex on the cartographic display. The associated system record opens in a secondary viewport, leaving the primary chart state unmodified. The function is restricted to referee-classified sessions.
Visual Theme Matrix
The display subsystem now supports a configurable visual theme register. Operators may select from a range of chromatic profiles drawn from the major sophont cultures of Charted Space: Aslan, Bwap, Darrian, Droyne, Hiver, Imperium, K’kree, Solomani, Sword Worlds, Vargr, Vegan, Zhodani, and the Deepnight void-transit scheme. The active theme is recorded in the operator’s local session register and persists across subsequent connections.
Cartographic Centring Protocol
The integrated star map now centres its display viewport on the stellar object or star system record currently under inspection. When navigating directly to a system, subsector, or stellar object, the cartographic display locks its origin coordinates to the associated parsec position, eliminating manual repositioning of the chart following record retrieval.
Granular Tech Level Capability Registers
The Tech Level subsystem now records eleven discrete capability categories in addition to the overall civilisation code. Operators may specify independent tech level values for Electronics, Energy, Manufacturing, Medical, Environmental, Land Transport, Water Transport, Air Transport, Space Transport, Personal Military, and Heavy Military.
The Tech Level tab on stellar object records displays the full capability matrix, each category rendered with its hex code and era descriptor drawn from the standard tech level tables. Categories not yet assigned are suppressed from the display. Markdown exports are likewise updated to enumerate all populated categories with their descriptors.
Jump Survey Protocol
Star system records now carry a Jump Survey panel. Operators may initiate a localised cartographic scan at radii J-1 through J-6, producing a hex map centred on the designated system and clipped to the precise hexagonal boundary of the selected jump envelope. The resulting chart is presented in an overlay panel. A signed SVG embed link is provided for integration into external displays or briefing materials.
The survey panel appears on both star system records and on stellar object records that belong to a charted system. Jump maps are cached against the current state of all parsecs, systems, and regions within the viewport; subsequent requests within the same configuration state incur no regeneration cost.
Cartographic Display Controls
The navigation status bar now carries dedicated magnification controls for both Hex Map and Full Journey display modes. Operators may increase or decrease the rendered scale of the cartographic display by activating the magnifying glass controls. All scale adjustments are clamped within the established minimum and maximum hex size parameters.
Map Refresh Restored to Operational Status
The Refresh Map control has been restored to full operational capability. A prior condition caused the control to produce no observable effect when the displayed viewport had already been fully loaded into the local system register, as the navigation subsystem only dispatched acquisition requests for parsec positions absent from the register. The control now purges all parsec entries within the current viewport prior to re-issuing acquisition requests, ensuring that all positions are reloaded from the navigation database on demand.
Allegiance Assignment via Social Characteristics Protocol
The Assign Social Characteristics directive now accepts an allegiance parameter. Operators may search and select a polity classification at the time of world socialisation, causing the designated main world to be registered under the specified allegiance upon confirmation. Selection is optional; omitting the parameter leaves any existing allegiance classification unchanged.
Social Characteristics Preset Registry
The Assign Social Characteristics directive now supports named parameter presets. Operators conducting batch socialisation operations across multiple worlds may record a full parameter set — including population thresholds, government and law level constraints, tech level bounds, main world criteria, captive government permission, and allegiance — under a designated designation string. Saved presets are recalled from the Preset selector at the top of the directive panel and applied in a single operation. Presets are stored per campaign and persist across sessions. Individual presets may be removed via the delete control adjacent to the selector.
Extended Government Classification
Survey records for inhabited worlds now carry a richer government profile. Where deep analysis data is available, the Government tab presents three additional classifications beyond the standard type and description.
Economic Profile
Where deep survey data is available, worlds now display a dedicated Economics section within the Starport tab.
Cultural Characteristics
Where cultural analysis data is available, the Population tab now presents a dedicated Culture section.
Travel Zone Classification
Star systems may now be assigned a travel zone, providing standardised hazard classification visible across the interface. Two canonical zones are pre-installed in all campaigns: Amber (exercise caution) and Red (interdicted or extremely dangerous). These protected classifications cannot be deleted. Additional zones may be defined under Data Cores → Travel Zones, each assigned a display colour.
Integration Support
Campaign settings now expose an API access panel displaying the campaign slug and a bearer token. These credentials authorise external systems — such as the Foundry VTT module — to submit jump log entries directly to the mission record. The token may be revoked and reissued at any time via the Regenerate control; invalidation is immediate.
