Rogue Object Integration in Subsector Generation

The subsector generation matrix now supports the inclusion of rogue stellar objects — bodies that traverse the interstellar medium unbound to any stellar primary.

Sector Display Mode Selection

The sector index console now provides a display mode selector, permitting operators to toggle between a visual grid representation and a tabular data listing. The selected mode is retained between navigation events, allowing persistent configuration of the preferred data presentation format.

Operator Orientation Sequence

A guided orientation sequence is now initiated for newly-activated operator accounts. The system presents a series of annotated tooltips identifying key interface elements. Each step directs the operator’s attention to a specific console region via targeted positional indicators.

Transit Matrix Directive — Star System Survey Console

The star system survey console now presents a Transit Matrix readout, cross-referencing all charted bodies in the system by orbital sequence classification. The operator selects a manoeuvre drive rating via the parameter control; all transit time values in the matrix update accordingly.

Planetoids and moons are excluded from the matrix in accordance with standard navigational doctrine.

Transit Times Readout — Individual Body Classification

Transit time data is now accessible from the individual body classification display for stellar objects. The orbital parameters panel surfaces a Transit Times readout listing calculated travel durations from the current body to all other surveyed objects in the system.

Stellar Object Analysis — Enhanced Data Display

The stellar object analysis console has received an upgrade to the scope and organisation of information presented to the operator. Additional physical, atmospheric, and cultural data is now available for surveyed worlds, presented in a structured format suited to rapid consultation in the field.

Travel Time Table

A new Travel Time Table is accessible from the system sidebar. Activating the control presents a matrix overlay displaying calculated transit times between all bodies in the current solar system. The operator selects a manoeuvre drive rating from the selector at the head of the table; all times update accordingly.

Campaign Settings — Imperial Date Format Selection

Campaign operators may now designate the preferred format for the display of Imperial dates throughout the interface. Two formats are supported:

Traveller Standard presents dates in day-year notation (e.g. 001-1105), consistent with the conventional Traveller date convention. ISO 8601 presents dates in year-day notation (e.g. 1105-001). The setting is configured under the Display Preferences section of Campaign Settings and defaults to Traveller Standard on all new and existing campaigns. The selected format is applied uniformly across all date-bearing displays: the Jump Log Registry table, individual jump log detail records, and the jump log show and edit console headers.

Sector Registry — Chart Projection Mode

The IISS Sector Registry now provides a secondary display mode: the Chart Projection. Operators may toggle between the existing tabular list and the new spatial grid using the mode selector controls positioned at the upper-right of the registry console.

In Chart Projection mode, each registered sector occupies a cell in a coordinate-accurate grid, rendered at its recorded galactic position. Sector designation and coordinates are displayed within each cell. Activating a cell navigates the operator directly to that sector’s detail record.

Jump Log Registry — Vessel Audit Filter

The Jump Log Registry index now incorporates a vessel selection control. Operators may designate a specific ship from the filtration dropdown to restrict the displayed records to that vessel’s complete transit history, facilitating rapid audit of jump sequences, departure and arrival datestamps, and misjump incidents for any single craft. Selecting the null directive — All ships — restores the full multi-vessel registry view.

Linguistic Name Generation Protocol

All designation input fields — sectors, subsectors, star systems, and stellar objects — now incorporate a Linguistic Name Generation unit. Two auxiliary controls appear adjacent to the name field: a dice actuator and a language selector.

Activating the dice actuator submits a request to the Word Generation Engine, which returns a procedurally constructed designation formed according to the assigned linguistic parameters. The language selector presents the full catalogue of available tongues; the operator may assign a specific language to the object or select Inherited to delegate upward through the object hierarchy — stellar objects inherit from their parent star system, star systems from their subsector, subsectors from their sector, and sectors from the campaign default.

A campaign-wide default language may be configured via the new Name Generation section of Campaign Settings. When no explicit language is set at any level in the hierarchy, the dice actuator remains inoperative.

Populated Directive — System Replacement Protocol

The Replace Star System interface now exposes a Populated parameter beneath the Random initialisation mode. When this directive is engaged, the generation request transmits a populated flag to the stellar construction engine, instructing it to ensure the resultant system contains at least one inhabited world.

Languages Module

The Data Cores facility now incorporates a Languages generation module, accessible via the Languages entry in the Data Cores navigation index. The module provides procedural word generation across twelve registered linguistic corpora: Arrghoun, Aslan, French, Gurvin, Hindi, Imperium, Japanese, Korean, Nordic, Oynprith, Solomani, and Zdetl.

Jump Route Computation

The navigation subsystem now incorporates an automated route-plotting facility accessible from any star system or stellar object record. Activating the Route function opens the navigation modal, wherein the operator specifies an origin system, a destination system, a maximum jump rating (J-1 through J-6), and a refuelling constraint — unrestricted, commercial starport only (Class D or better), or wilderness refuelling only (gas giant presence required).

Sector Cartographic Poster

The system now produces a full-sector cartographic poster in portable document format. The poster renders the complete 32×40 parsec grid at A4 dimensions, incorporating all star systems, rogue bodies, communication network links, regional overlays, and jump route indicators. Adjacent subsector designations are printed along each border to facilitate cross-reference with neighbouring sectors. The document is retrieved via the sector record and delivered as a downloadable PDF artefact.
