Operations manual
Star System Survey
Overview
- Library Data
- Reference link for this star system. Enter a link on the edit form to override it; if left blank, a Traveller Wiki entry is generated automatically for charted-space campaigns. Hidden entirely when there is no link to display. Unlike every other field on this page, this one is shown to players — it appears in the interactive starmap sidebar once the system is known or surveyed, the same conditions described under Player Visibility below.
- Travel Zone, Survey Index, Locked
- Each saves immediately on change — there is no separate save button for these three fields.
- Locked
- A locked system is preserved untouched when its subsector is regenerated or when this system is replaced — the Replace button is disabled while locked.
- Known
- Referee-only toggle. Marks the system as known to players regardless of survey index — see Player Visibility below.
Player Visibility
- Interactive Starmap
- This Rails page is referee-only. Players instead view systems through the interactive starmap (shared via a public map link). There, a system’s bases, trade codes, main world profile, and Library Data reference link are only revealed once the system is Known or its Survey Index is 10 or higher — otherwise players see only the bare hex.

- Delete
