Sector Survey

A sector survey record covers a 32×40-parsec region of space subdivided into 16 subsectors arranged in a 4×4 grid (A–P, left-to-right, top-to-bottom). Each subsector contains an 8×10-parsec field of hexes.

Overview

Coordinates
Imperial X/Y sector coordinates locating this sector on the galactic chart.
Star Chart
Link to the Traveller Map rendering of this sector. Shown as “Undocumented” if the sector has no Traveller Map entry.
Library Data
Reference link for this sector. Enter a link on the sector’s edit form to override it; if left blank, a Traveller Wiki entry is generated automatically for charted-space campaigns. Hidden entirely (no field shown) when there is no link to display — homebrew and Deepnight Revelation campaigns get no automatic link, since the sector name isn’t a real Traveller Wiki entry. Referee-only; not shown to players.
Star Systems
Total count of star systems across all subsectors in this sector.
Rogues
Count of stellar objects present in the sector that are not attached to any star system.

Observations

Observations
Collapsible free-text field. Accepts CommonMark markdown. Toggle with the chevron button. Shows “No findings reported” when empty.

Subsector Panel

Subsector Grid
4×4 grid of the 16 subsectors (A–P). Each cell links to that subsector’s survey record. Unnamed subsectors are shown as “?”.
Subsector Icons
Each subsector cell carries up to three action icons:
  • Clipboard — copy a public link to the subsector’s map.
  • Map — open the interactive star map for this subsector.
  • Rectangle — download a poster-format PDF of the subsector.
Neighbouring Sectors
3×3 grid centred on this sector showing the eight adjacent sectors. Known neighbours are linked by name; unknown positions are left blank. The current sector is highlighted with a border.

Subsector Registry

Name
Subsector letter designation (A–P) and assigned name, linked to the subsector record.
Systems
Number of star systems in that subsector.
Stars
Total number of stars across all systems in the subsector.
Populated
Count of star systems that contain at least one populated world. Shown only when the campaign setting is enabled.
Allegiances
Distinct allegiance codes present among systems in the subsector.
Build
Generation configuration status for the subsector:
  • TravellerMap — uses official Traveller Map data.
  • Deepnight Books — uses Deepnight Books source data.
  • Uploaded — derived from an uploaded T5 Tab Delimited file.
  • Homebrew — uses a custom build specification.
  • Default — uses the campaign default build specification.
  • Not configured — no specification is set; generation is unavailable.

Page Actions

Load Build Default
Opens the build default loader to replace every subsector's build configuration from TravellerMap, Deepnight, or an uploaded T5 file. See Load Build Default for details.
Populate
Triggers generation of star systems across all subsectors using each subsector’s build specification. Only empty parsecs receive new systems; existing content is preserved.
Clear
Removes all star systems and rogue stellar objects from every subsector in this sector. Requires confirmation. This action cannot be undone.
Edit
Opens the sector edit form to modify name, coordinates, build specification, and notes.
Delete
Soft-deletes the sector record. Requires confirmation.
