Operations manual
Planetoid Belt

Displays the survey record for a planetoid belt. Data is organised into tabs corresponding to each digit of the Universal World Profile, plus supplementary tabs for orbital mechanics and the significant body catalogue. The Physical tab presents belt-specific data in place of the standard planetary physical fields.

Controls

Regenerate
Submits the belt's Universal World Profile and orbital parameters to the generator data core, which recomputes and returns a complete characteristic profile. All existing survey data for the belt is superseded by the returned values, including the significant body catalogue — all previously recorded planetoids are expunged and reconstructed from the generator's output. This operation is irreversible. Available only when the belt orbits a stellar primary.

Tabs

Orbital
Orbital radius (orbit number and/or AU), period, effective HZCO deviation, retrograde flag, inclination, eccentricity, and the location hierarchy through to sector.
Starport
Starport classification (A–E, X), allegiance, and travel zone.
Physical
Belt-specific data: resource rating, bulk, and span. Belt composition is expressed as percentage split across metallic (M), stony (S), carbonaceous (C), and other (O) material types; these values must total 100%.
Atmo
Atmosphere code, relevant for belts with trace or exotic gas envelopes.
Hydro
Hydrographics code, liquid type, and distribution.
Pop
Population code with headcount range, concentration rating, urbanisation percentage, major city count, and cultural indices.
Gov
Government type, authority, centralisation, and governmental structure.
Law
Law level code with sub-ratings covering restrictions and judicial system.
Tech
Overall technology level code with per-category sub-ratings.
Bodies
Paginated list of significant bodies within the belt. The tab counter shows the total body count. Toggle Significant only to suppress sub-kilometre fragments.
