Operations manual
Edit Planetoid Belt

Manual changes are not validated against the rules in the World Builder's Handbook (WBH). Any value entered here is stored as given, so check it against the WBH yourself.

The form has one tab for each part of the belt's UWP: General, Orbital, Starport, Physical, Atmosphere, Hydrographics, Population, Government, Law Level and Tech Level. It is a single form, so values on every tab are saved together.

Fields marked with the chip icon are required when adding a planetoid belt: orbit, period, inclination, eccentricity, every UWP character (starport, atmosphere, hydrographics, population, government, law level and tech level), the four composition percentages, resource rating, bulk and span. Enter 0 for any composition percentage that does not apply.

Orbital tab
Orbit
Orbit number around the parent star, no lower than the star's minimum allowable orbit. The AU distance and orbit sequence are derived from it.
Period
Orbital period in days.
Retrograde
Whether the belt orbits against the direction of the star's rotation.
Inclination and Eccentricity
Inclination in degrees; eccentricity from 0 (circular) upwards.
Physical tab
Metallic, Stony, Carbonaceous and Other
Percentage of each material type. When any is non-zero the four must total 100%.
Resource rating
Resource rating from 2 to 12.
Bulk
Bulk of the belt, a whole number of at least 1.
Span
Width of the belt in orbit numbers.
Other tabs

The Starport, Atmosphere, Hydrographics, Population, Government, Law Level and Tech Level tabs each hold a required UWP character and follow the same rules as other worlds. See the help for editing a world for details. The Physical tab also holds the mean temperature in kelvin.
