Fields marked with the chip icon are required when adding a gas giant: orbit, period, inclination, eccentricity, axial tilt, code and diameter. Mass is optional.
Orbital
- Orbit
- Orbit number around the parent star. The AU distance and orbit sequence are derived from it.
- Period
- Orbital period in days.
- Rotation
- Sidereal rotation period in hours.
- Inclination and Eccentricity
- Inclination in degrees; eccentricity from 0 (circular) upwards.
Physical
- Code
- GS (small), GM (medium) or GL (large).
- Axial tilt
- Tilt of the rotational axis in degrees.
- Diameter
- Diameter in kilometres. The jump shadow is derived from it.
- Mass
- Mass in solar masses.
